Upscale Google Flow video to 4K, free

Flow generates at 1080p and keeps its 4K upscale for the top plan. Acuta upscales the 1080p file on your own computer, on any plan.

Why not generate at 4K?

Flow’s 4K is a plan tier. The Acuta extension picks the finished clip up from the page, so a 1080p Flow export becomes a 4K file without a download step or a plan change. Google removed Flow from Workspace on July 7, 2026; teams that lost it can finish 4K without moving to personal accounts.

How it works

  1. Generate in Flow

At 1080p, as you already do.

  2. Pick it up

Download the keeper, or let the extension take it from the page. Check three frames at actual pixels. Clips up to 10 minutes, at least 720 pixels on the short edge.

  3. Export 4K

Your graphics card does the work. The file lands on your disk.

Questions

Do I need the top Flow plan?
Not for this. Acuta upscales the 1080p file on any plan, free.
Is my clip uploaded?
No. It is read from your disk, upscaled in the tab and written back.
How long does it take?
A 30-second export takes at least 2½ minutes on an M3 Max, plugged in, a floor, not a promise. Plug in: on battery, Apple silicon runs roughly an order of magnitude slower.
How good is it?
It slightly over-sharpens the mid-tones on video, by 8–10%. That was measured, never resolved, and not investigated, and it can read as a synthetic crispness on skin and on gradients when you look closely on a big display. Nobody has run a review of logos and small type, so check your own in the preview before you sign off.
